Meet Wilson. In the Spring he became intermittently lame on his right back leg. Anti-inflammatory medication helped but did not resolve the lameness so we x-rayed his leg.
Imagine the shock when it was discovered that Wilson had a shotgun pellet embedded deeply in his leg which had caused a non-displaced spiral fracture of his femur. A specialist was consulted but fortunately Wilson only required cage rest for 4 weeks and it was decided that it was best to leave the pellet in situ unless infection developed.
We are delighted to say that Wilson has made a full recovery.
