Michael Kingsbury

Michael trained at Glasgow and then London University. After graduation he worked as a farm animal vet in a mixed practice in rural Lincolnshire, before moving to a companion animal clinic in Chichester. Michael joined Bill Skelton in 1988, becoming his partner in 1993 and sole principal in 2002 on Bill’s retirement.



Michael has a rescue border terrier, a diabetic cat acquired through Cats Protection League and two tortoises. He enjoys mountain-biking, walking, circuit training, the theatre and recently has taken up modern jive.

Lisa Daniels

Lisa trained at Edinburgh University. Lisa has always worked as a small animal practitioner, initially in Chichester and latterly in London and Kent. Lisa joined Fitzalan House in September 2000. Lisa is undertaking a Certificate in Small Animal Internal Medicine which is similar to a Doctor becoming a specialist. and has a particular interest in Ultrasonography.

Lisa has two rescue cats that were abandoned due to serious illness and acquired through the surgery. Lisa also enjoys walking and silver-smithing producing attractive jewellery that often graces the boutiques of Brighton.

Alison Livesey

Alison Livesey re-joined Fitzalan House in 2009, having previously been part of the team between 2006 and 2008. Alison graduated from Edinburgh University in 1985. Over the years she has worked extensively but not exclusively for the Blue Cross. Whilst in practice Alison gained the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery in 2000, as well as achieving a Masters in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling from the University of Southampton in 1998. Her particular interests are Small Animal Surgery, Emergency Medicine and Imaging.

Alison has two Guinea Pigs acquired from Wadars, an elderly rescued cat that was brought in heavily pregnant following a road traffic accident, and a rescued Shih Tzu. She enjoys running, cycling, squash, and is involved with the Manhood Water Vole Conservation Group both on practical and journalistic fronts.

Claire Bradley

Claire Bradley

BVetMed MRCVS

Claire, a graduate of the Royal Veterinary College in London, joined the practice in 2010 after a short period with the World Veterinary Service in Samos. She owns four guinea pigs and is keenly interested in the medicine and surgery of exotic species.

Claire is a keen swimmer, cyclist and adept modern linguist who is current particularly enjoying learning Japanese.

Elaine McNamara

Elaine McNamara studied veterinary medicine at Glasgow University and has worked in West Sussex ever since. She re-joined Fitzalan House in August 2011, having previously been part of our team between 2006 and 2008. Before studying to be a vet Elaine lived in Canada and gained two University degrees - firstly a BA (Hons) in English and French at Dalhousie University in Halifax, and subsequently a BSc in Zoology at the University of Toronto.

Elaine has two rescue cats. Her particular clinical interests are Internal Medicine and Imaging.
